The Dictionary says the word lifestyle is less than 100 years old. This word was truly made for our generation, the literal definition is: "A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes or values of a person or group."

I saw an open "Lifestyle" condom wrapper laying on the ground.

Its ironic when you think about it

because we live in a society that depending on what you do, believe, or what surrounds you determines your "lifestyle". 

Right now, in these economic times people are stealing just to keep up with their "lifestyles"

 whats going on?!

There is an undercover war going on.

We have allowed the enemy of our souls to settle in our lives,

disguised as property,

cars,

the way we dress,

the things we watch,

the brands we prefer.

or even the degrees we have. 

We're so preoccupied with keeping up with appearences that it is no longer the Word of God that tells us how to live.

We've lost our way and all we do is follow the way our flesh tells us to.

"What feels right."

"What matches my personality."

"What will people think when they see me have this."

 

You say,

"I am exploring the bisexual lifestyle because I just like to feel good"

or

"the swinger lifestyle works for us because our love is just that strong"

but those are just lies from the enemy.

Lies you tell yourself to make yourself feel better.

Im here to tell you God has something better for you.

Im here to tell you God has eternal life,

not just temporal pleasure.

YOU belong to something bigger

YOU belong to God.

So you say you're wiccan

that you worship the sun and the moon the way the Mayans did.

Well where are they now? where is their kingdom? 

you dont want to believe in the one true God, 

you rather worship the created but shun The Creator

the truth of the matter is that its a path to destruction

or

you claim you dont believe in God 

but you're willing to believe that maybe, just maybe

2012 could be 

the end of the world....

after all, the mayan calender ends there..

what an open minded lifestyle indeed.

open to demonic oppression,

depression and ultimately

obliteration of the human race.

The devils is in the details they say

yes indeed.

he is in every area you're not paying attention to.

lets say you pray right?

but what is it you pray about?

to get your bills paid, or fulfill every other want and need?

But Jesus said

"Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all things shall be added"

How about praying for the children of Israel, or human trafficking or even your president?

oh wait, you live a republican lifestyle..my bad.

 now please dont misunderstand me

I tell you all this because my heart used to be the same.

But Jesus took my heart of stone and gave me HIS heart.

So im here to show you the way.

to shed His light on your heart and

your reasons and motives.

We've lost our purpose with all this stuff we are so driven in getting to continue this "lifestyle."

We dream about living this gangster/rapper lifestyle

with all the bling on your neck

but understand that this too is an undercover weapon

to blind you from the truth

to silence the One that has offered you eternal life.

Lady Gaga is a "free spirit"

When interviewed she was asked

to choose between giving up

sex, fame, or money

she responded

"Thats a ridiculous question, I wouldnt give any of them. Id cut my leg off"

shes supposed to be a role model to young woman all around?

weather she likes it or not people will follow her.

she is going down and she will take you down

with her.

or maybe you just like to sit at home and watch people live their famous

rich "lifestyles" while your life is passing you by

while your missing your destiny and His plan.

Again, dont misunderstand me,

I tell you all this because I too was lost

on the same path to destruction

I idolized and worshipped material things

and what I owned or what club I could get in

determined my value.

I was a witch and a heathen

and I even got a tattoo and a couple of scars to prove it.

 

So PLEASE open your eyes, and look beneath the surface

there is an undercover war going on

I pray you open your spiritual eyes before its too late

 

This kingdom on earth

and what it offers

will always destroy you

and bring you down.

 

What a lifestyle truly means is that

your prefer one sin over another and

then you run around flaunting it

As if turning away from God is the answer

turning away from Him who gave up HIS life

so YOU could live eternally.

 

This life is but a time capsule

and when you step out....

and you WILL step out

youll have to give account of the choices you made

I pray the blindfold starts to come off as you hear these words

There is more to life than all that you see right now

theres eternity

and its waiting

are you ready to give account for your "lifestyle"?

So how can you change the lifestyle youre in?

you say  "This is all I know"

well its simple really, all you have to do is

tell Him that you want a change of heart

 that you want to know Him and

see the truth, remove your chains

before its too late.

 

I know right know we cant see clearly

but thats why the Holy Spirit has been sent

and He will show you the truth

even when its not convinient or comfortable.

So stop worshipping these pagan idols.

Were not here just to "get my own"

dont get it twisted!

Were here to bring the Kingdom of God to earth

To be His feet

His eyes and

His voice.

 

Time    is    running    out!

you gotta make a decision today

decide to follow the one whos

lifestyle is worthy of pursuing

JESUS.

So when you see the word "lifestyle"

you'll know the truth.

 

Turn from your lifestyle today

get out of the bisexual lifestyle

the Party lifestyle

the gay lifestyle

the gangster lifestyle

the "im out here trying to get my own" lifestyle

the "its my time" lifestyle.

 

You can buy all that you think you need

with all that stacked cheese

but its never going to be enough in the end

Or

you can try to numb your souls true need for God

with alcohol or drugs

its a poor attempt to numb the feeling

thats deep down inside.

but its NEVER going to go away as long as you live.

 

you know that nagging feeling you get at night

like something is missing? thats what im talking about.

so you get up and eat something

 maybe watch some TV

surf the net maybe..

THATS the place where only God belongs

He's waiting for you to say the word

so He can rescue you from

the shackled 

"lifestyle."

You cover a lot of ground in this piece, and you will inevitably step on the toes of both Christian and Non Christian alike. And that's ok.
We have to stand at some point - on what we believe. Today there is a lot of "mixed seed" - a lot of "feel good" Christianity out there that tries to placate what our "souls" want because we don't want to hurt anyone.
YES. God is love. He loves all of us no matter what we are DOING. But He HATES sin. And He hates it not because he is a vengeful old Testament Wrathful monster. He hates it because it keeps us from Him. It quells that intimacy - that level of love tthat He wants to share with us. I['m preaching so I'll stop but thank you for saying the difficult things. Sadly, I don't know what a "lifestyle" is. I thought working and putting food on the table and keeping a roof over my head was "lifestyle" enough. You make a great rant here but parts of your argument might not be logically sound. Like your questions about where are ancient civilizations. The Roman Empire was a Christian civilization at the height of its fall. The simple fact is that in time, all civilizations crumble. In time, this world will be destroyed. Our sun is a star and it will nova, sooner or later. It is about late middle-aged as we speak. Some people believe they will live forever in "heaven" or some other place. I believe the dead are dead and remain so. I believe in God but not the God of the Bible. If God was that selfish, cruel, heartless, petty and bloodthirsty; I had rather have no part of Him. I don't see how anyone can pray to a Being with less morals than themselves. I would never murder a man for being a homosexual but according to the Bible, THAT is what God not only condones but mandates. That sort of thing says the God of the Bible is less merciful than me and I just can't accept that. I have read and studied the Bible in college; not just in church. It is my opinion that most Bible toting church goers know next to nothing about what they entrust their "immortal souls" to. The Bible was written by men and it is as flawed as the men who wrote it. The same men Jesus called, "whitewashed tombs, full of men's bones"; "brood of vipers" (or snakes); "Wolves in sheep's clothing" and "blind". These were the Scribes and the Pharisees. They wrote the Bible(at least all of the Old Testament) As for the New Testament nobody knows who wrote it. We do know that none of the names given are the authors of the texts. i.e. Matthew did NOT write Matthew, nor Luke write Luke nor Mark write Mark, etc. The only "original source" documents we have in the New Testament are the letters of Paul or Saul of Tarsus. There are even passages added to the scripts AFTER the original Greek Codexes were written. It is my opinion that the Bible was written by people in power to stay in power by controlling the masses through organized religion. Their religion and government was so entwined that it was impossible to achieve the will of the people without the Divine "mandate" of God so they simply made one up. Jesus Christ never ordered or mandated any organized religion in his earthly practice. The word "Christian" was a word invented by unbelievers at Antioch (according to the Book of Acts). But I do know that Jesus said, "Judge not, that ye be not judged for with what judgement ye judge it shall be dealt again to you" Which means if you condemn someone else for lying and you have ever told a lie, then you convict yourself by judging them. But this same principle is the foundation of many religions. In Hindu, it is called Karma. If you wish to follow Jesus' "lifestyle", give away everything you own to charity and preach love and forgiveness. That is what Jesus recommended to the wealthy ruler. The wealthy ruler did not choose to go that route though. It seems preaching a good life and living one are two different things.

word will shut down peoples minds and they'll stop reading
in their tracks ....as it well might have to me when I
was stuck on stupid in luv with self & the world.
Most of the folks that finish reading this... don't need to.. most
that do... sadly will not.....hopefully it will generate enough controversy
that it will set somebody FREE.
