A New Found Freedom

A poem written for the College Kids service at Church this sunday. This will come together with my husbands piece. (notice the spacing in words means i linger a little on the last word before going to the next one. Spoken word style)

 

I    am    no   longer    on    death row.

 

See now im free in He

 

That bought me at a price because he loves me

 

With all his might       and

 

As a result

 

He broke the chains of sin when he gave up his

 

life     and

 

Gave me a

 

New found freedom.

 

 

No longer bound in captivity

 

But free in Christ

 

My eyes have been opened and

 

Now he wants to give you the keys

 

And no, im not just talking about a

 

One    morning   stand with Christ.

 

Im   talking   about   Eternity.

 

So open your eyes and look inside you

 

Are you living for yourself or

 

For the Christ?

 

And if you don’t know Him yet

 

Are you ready to answer if He were to call you?

 

If   not

 

Then here is your chance to answer and

 

Experience         

 

a new found freedom.
