Love is

Love is

A Poem by Kitty
"

Reflecting on the elements of a Kingdom Marriage"

"

Love is.

It is a delicate and fragile thing.

It is Salvation and Redemption.

It is a powerful and conquering thing.

It is a force and a stronghold.

It is hope and a promise thing.

It is unity and destiny.

It’s a poem and a song thing.

It is an embrace without a touch.

It is commitment and a covenant thing.

It is two becoming one.

It is a unique and unconditional thing.

It is truth and revelation.

It is a respect and a sanctity thing.

It is willingness and submission.

It is a passionate and personal thing.

It is assurance and trust.

It is a dream and a tangible thing.

It is a spiritual and a flesh thing.

It is a you and me thing.

It is a love thing

It is a GOD thing.

"It is a God...and covenant thing " !!!!!

This piece is absolutely outstanding... You are most definitely rooted in Gods word...Sis
Your marriage will be soooo...blessed !

The idea of you reading to each other sends shivers own my spine...If this is the piece you will read...I hope you haven't let him hear it yet !!! It is an honor you shared it with us...!

My husband surprised me and sang to me at our wedding... ( he is a gospel hip-hop artist) but he sang....
I thought about reading a poem
but I was to embarrassed to. Wish I had...I wrote one a few anniversaries ago ...he adores it...wanted me to print and frame it to hang in his recording studio

Marriage...If it were based...on emotions...or the laws of attraction ....financial peace...
one would divorce and remarry seasonaly ! Well I guess thats why all those.."secret" hollywood wind-in-the-willows- folks can't keep it together...yet they are some of the most admired "role models? " on earth ! Go figure ?

Love this....

Itsa wonderful thing...

J Hampton recommended this one and I see why. While the meter and flow are not all there the words and phrasing are. You did a nice job of touching the intangible thing that love is. I know by education what love is and it's sources and representations. It's etymologies. But, I think you did a wonderful thing here by touching it's heart from your perspective. And that, after all, really is the best definition of love. It is your heart communicated to the one you love. Thank you for sharing this. Enjoy your wedding day and married life!

Cheers!
Doc.

You have done more than just reflect upon the elements of a 'Kingdom Marriage'; you have poetically and compassionately, embodied the very nature of one!

I read somewhere, that such a marriage was; to have and to hold (but not to grasp)!

Excellent write!

And sometimes it's a "work at it to keep it real" thing. Whatever it takes, it truly should be cherished and nurtured.

Nicely done!

You have got love down, girl!

My favorite part:
"It is is willingness and submission."

The two of these combined make for a dynamic pair.

Your words always make so much sense to me. Once again, thanks for sharing!
