Elevator Love

Elevator Love

A Story by flaco
"

a very short story for a short love affair

"

 She slipped into the elevator

 Behind me

 As I headed to work

 A smile

The   fresh scent from a recent shower

 Perfume

That brought with her the lite breeze of an early summer morning

 Our souls touched

She had to have felt it - it has to be true

  3 " Please she asked

 However,

 I was on 4

 This  elevator is slow

 Is there time

Will  our love  deepen "our futures intertwine

The 3rd floor came so quickly

With a shudder and jolt the elevator stopped

The door opened and out she stepped

As quick as she came into my life

 She was gone

Love this poem about a transitory cerebral romance flaco. Your verses so gracefully describe that mutual momentary connection between strangers, that “what if?” glance in an elevator. Great title, drama between floors, gentle sensuality, style and eloquence. Excellent write.
