Crows

Crows

A Poem by flaco
"

just a memory

"

You were always fond of Crows

           I found that odd

             this evening
as hundreds of them circle
             overhead
       in the cold twilight sky

               I look up

             think of you

               and smile

Your poem caught my attention. I love crows. They are so smart. I feed them everyday and one comes right up to me. Most people do think it is strange, but that's ok. I like your poem. Nice memory!

I love your poem & even more than that, I love that you made such an observation & thought to put it to pen -- very gracefully I might add. This is about the minimum number of words that you could possibly use, which is an art in itself, as long as your words are well-packed with meaning & imagery & further provoking some from the reader's mind, as yours do (((HUGS))) Fondly Margie

A memory indeed.....

Quite often the strangest of things can evoke strong recall in us. A sight, a sound, a smell, a taste, or in this case a murder of crows, can bring the memories of the past bursting into the present.

A very brief piece, yet one that is instantly relatable.
