from the eyes of an old man

from the eyes of an old man

A Poem by flaco

I see your beauty

Without desire

Your sexuality

Without lust

I feel attraction

But no yearning

Old age has freed me

I am liberated

Your smile

Mesmerizing

Your movements

Poetic

combined with  curves  which   are

Prophetic

so young but I am old

Too old to go there.

"From the eyes of an old man". You have seen much, but have gained appreciation for so much more. This is beautiful, and I love the way you've written it. Youth isn't everything. Growing old has been denied to many. Consider yourself privileged, and quite the poet!

I love this! It's the kind of message many old writers wish they would've thought of! It's so true. Now I can play with my sexuality in words & I can be flirtatious with a man of any age & none of it has to lead to anything but the sweet memory of a shared moment of fun! You have nailed the freedom of old age perfectly! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I like this because it seems less lament and more realisation and acceptence

there may be a little snow on the rooftop but there is still fire in the furnace ... :)
