cold nightA Poem by flaco
The early winter wind blows thru the night a howl to a whisper --back
to a howl tree branches whip , scratch and tickle the sides of our house
the wind chime on the porch is angry and a lone dog barks off in the distance no answer coming back
the warmth created by my naked wife deep inside our blankets is a comfort a comfort we should all feel on a night like this I draw a bit closer hoping she will not push me away © 2018 flaco |
