Why Not Still

Why Not Still

A Poem by Sadang

You loved me once
When I had hair
Of chestnut
And eyes of steel.
Why not still?

You loved me once
When my tongue
Was still
False words came,
Why not still?

You loved me once,
When my body
Was lean
And my waist full.
Why not still?

You loved me once
As we laid
Together,
Wrapped together.
Why not still?
