fools with rules

written in stone,

blind justice measures scales

of who follows or fails

except for gray zone.

 

bent, stretched, left alone,

for some never derail;

some to crosses they nail,

causing Themis to groan.

Well, Ed certainly beat me to this.
Your reference to Themis, and the rhyme theme are very effective for the message.

i tried to play chess without rules once...the other guy beat me up; then i tried it with the rules, and won, and then he beat me up again
