From strife and culture of all sort

Our nation draws to fair respect

Freedoms insured by law and court

To choose the fate which we select

 

Permission to pursue our needs

But flawed as all humanity

Vice takes part, along with greed

Wonderful rhyme! It really flowed with "humanity" and "reality" and the best part about your rhyme... is that I didn't even notice it until I read "reality". It was so natural and smooth that it didn't take anything away from the poem and it didn't strive to be a rhyme, it simply happened. Great work! It takes a true poet to do that. Good message and metaphors in this one, I love the imagery and the title is perfection for this piece. Well done!
