The Cardinal is the bird of my homestate, so I am a bit partial to that beautiful creature..
this is a lovely, lovely poem :-)

Perfect title for this wonderful haiku! I can see the sun glistening off the snow covered limbs and the vivid cardinal punctuating the scene with its red feathers and song. Perfection in a haiku!
