One Humanity

One Humanity

A Poem by James Paulin
"

Haitian disaster poem

"

Haitian people have nothing but need.

Every nation on earth watched them bleed.

Will we set the objections aside;

allow compassion to be our guide?

Can wealth, politics or pride delay

help to poor droves dying each day?

Disaster killed hundreds of thousands,

Now hear pleas of help for empty hands.

Each human, no matter where they are,

should feel despair and fear from afar.

Let barriers dissolve, save one,

that all may aid victims, bar none.

This poem made my heart smile. Not for it's content, but to know others shoulder the grief of this nation. Very well done my friend, and I thank you.
(I do volunteer work with the restavek children of Haiti and we have lost many to this disaster. Yes, our hearts cry).
Thank you again for this poem..

Well said and well written. Haiti is going to need much incoming help for a long time, so let's hope it continues. Thank God for the girl recently found alive after 15 days of being trapped. May we all help the miracles and recovery continue.

Every nation on earth watched them bleed. .............> and took opportunity of them

The French fu*** it up

Now, we all have a bad conscience. What a misery!

Time to share, time for compassion.

Topical and touching on the heart string. Haitians never had much but what little they had taken from in a single disaster. They need the aid now and to hell with red tapee

I think the world is always just a few natural disasters closer to unity unity unity so very far from war. It was such a shock it has to wake the humanity inside, if it doesn’t, well, you have to question that particular human I believe.

This is one example in the aftermath that is always so comforting to see.

gr8 just gr8. don't u love hoe nations do putt together and that in a mere matter of hours hundreds probably thousounds of pounds worth of aid is speeding to help. its just a shame it takes so much bloodshed to bring out the humanity in this world.
