Magnificent MichiganA Poem by James PaulinAh!
Water,
woods and land bejewel thy diadem Poetically
now, abundant treasures be praised In
each season, a look about has always amazed Pan
an impressive skyline reigning over the river Or
stand quite awestruck peering from Pyramid Point Far
to the north lies remote Isle Royale To
the south, scenic Keweenaw is the next soil Gaze
upon the cider tinted veil of Tahquamenon Falls Holy
water of Au Sable wherein trout thrive Access
to grandeur, Birdseye
perch above Lake of the Clouds Larger
inland lake, Gogebic is proud Hidden
jewel to marvel, follow Old Indian Trail Western
shore scenes, a Straits
of Mackinaw from Grand Hotel’s porch One
of the prettiest, a lake called Torch Trillium
trails beautifully beckon “come this way” Listen to Vibrant
tulip shocks, Superior’s
fine art blocks, the Pictured Rocks Indeed
this piece mentions but a few Mostly
natural splendor, of these I drew No
reference to industry or the Mighty Mac Full
Take
time to stop and look around as you can Upper
and Lower united…our magnificent © 2010 James PaulinFeatured Review
