Far Away

Far Away

A Poem by James Paulin
"

A cameo poem

"

Look up

asking, “Where are you?”

Come, if you are out there at all.

I need help.

See white clouds in an azure sky

listen for a still reply,

inside

A still reply, inside...

So what seems as a distance to close really becomes a matter of emotional and mental will. Something that seems impossible in our time of need and strife blinds possibility and hope. And we ask something else to just take it all away because it is too much for us to handle.
Sooner or later we find that reply inside. And suddenly that distance wasn't so great to begin with. Either way we all endure the things that weigh us down in between.

Nice James, got me all... talkative and thinking. I love that the most with a piece of writing. I think there is a lot more to this than meets the eye :)

This is beautiful in its simplicity. I really like the lines, "see white clouds in an azure sky / listen for a still reply".

I've read through several of your poems now and notice your style - you slice away to the core and reveal it to the reader.

Truly the key is to learn to become still.

We tend to look away for the alien and the new. We wish for space travelers to come from nearly unimaginable distances to solve our problems. When the answer to our problems are generally much closer... within. You put so much in just a few lines, my friend.
Peace and Love,

This sounds just like one of my own thoughts. I never get answers, but often do see results.

it really is a cameo of a poem. I love the asking, although sometimes when the answer is no,
we keep asking anyway..but to keep looking up is such an act of faith. Very beautiful writing.
