Important these colors ring true

Freedoms of choice and liberty

Defended with blood and bravery

 

Celebrate and revel in our free nation

Improve it no matter your station

The foundation is tested and strong

Embrace values held dear so long

 

Millions still seek the American tag

Narrow minds scorn and burn our flag

Peaceful demonstration our duty

Therein lies the greatest beauty

 

Purple mountains and shining sea

Exist other than the land of the free

Rights to worship, work and elect anew

Unite all living under red, white and blue

I agree with your words. We live in a place where every man or woman can do what they want or desire. I told my children. Only limit we have here in the USA. Is what do you want out of this life. A powerful and beautiful poem.

This is a great write about our country. We should celebrate that we live here in this great country but not turn a blind eye on the freedoms that we are losing on a daily basis either. I love the positive side to this piece.
