late autumn days shorten. thoughts as winter draws near turn to holiday cheer. decorate first, string up outdoor lights. coiled with tangles galore, find burned bulbs to restore. aggravation on gutter, shrub and tree, extension cord array, multi-color display. illuminated tiny twinkles wrap round, ice sickle flash drips down, soon it spreads across town. seasons greetings
