Sparkle

Sparkle

A Poem by James Paulin
"

Poet Craft: Abhanga

"

late autumn days shorten.

thoughts as winter draws near

turn to holiday cheer.

decorate

first, string up outdoor lights.

coiled with tangles galore,

find burned bulbs to restore.

aggravation

on gutter, shrub and tree,

extension cord array,

multi-color display.

illuminated

tiny twinkles wrap round,

ice sickle flash drips down,

soon it spreads across town.

seasons greetings

The last lines of stanzas one and three are not three syllables. But over-all the poem is very good.

First, a wonderful poem. Well crafted for sure.
Second, is it that time already. Me dangling from the ladder, foot braced on the house.. Oy Vey!!

Great pre-holiday season piece my friend!!
