Metronome

Metronome

A Poem by James Paulin
"

a double Etheree using this subjectwaves

"

Sleep,

peaceful,

consistent,

music of surf

persists in washing

rolls of steady splashes,

retreating water swishes.

Melody of land meeting sea

intones weather guided wind rhythms.

Deep in slumber, aware of wave number

as changes in winds increase or subside .

Volume grows louder as speed hastens.

Omen of storms reaching near shore.

Rain patters accent beats timed

to element forces,

then begins to slow.

Awakened now,

tempo down,

there is

peace.

The rhytmic surging of the waves is nature's seaside metronome. The rythmn that keeps the ocean in tune. The nautical music that lulls one into a deep restfull sleep. The wind, rain and waves all keep the same rythmn and beat. A musical interlude by mother nature and Poseidon. A beautiful writing and you did a wonderful job with the double etheree.

Love this. It read like a swell in the ocean, rising and then falling.

Love the sound of the waves in every shape and fashion. Nicely done!

Not sure a 'wave' etheree could be done better. I found myself reading the rhythm in waves. marvelous in content, form, and creative approach.
