A Poem by James Paulin

would wise council reset its course?

as keys of choice lock shut one door

as faiths’ light shines without remorse

as hope, only love may restore

left alone, as if far away

joys or fears to share with no other.

two combine and decide to stay

one journeys end would begin another

to crawl then run then walk does slow

to take each step with hands to hold

to be guided by twin candles glow

to pair two hearts turns roads to gold

this is beautiful. the words flow and he rhymes work. there is only one place where it felt a little wordy, or at least it pulled me out, maybe it's cliche`, i really can't put my finger on it:

as hope, only love may restore

I really liked the way this poem flowed. The rhyme didn't feel forced.
