She dreams with eyes open

She knows who she is...

 

She dreams with

                -Eyes open

                                As night shadows

   Dance with her thoughts,

 

                On the ceiling-

  

Lights from the moon

                        Reflect off the soft

                                    Rain from the streets

                And yet, no sleep

 

                                  

       The sun rises

        Before the moon rests

Random eye movements

        Absent behind her eyelids,

 

                                The sun lifts

           Above the trees

 

Diminished rest

                    And ill-formed dreams

 

 

 

Finally the stars

Fall asleep with her eyes

Her breathing is settled

With soft and subtle sighs

 

Dreams are answered

And her fears now retreat

As she awakes well rested

Lying next to me

First off, I love the way you wrote this, the way you used different font and colors. It really seemed to capture this and make you feel drawn to it. It's almost like a poem that I wrote, but yours is way better.

Anyways, this reminds me of nights I would lye down dreaming of life and so many other things. Just watching the ceiling as shadows made shapes across the walls, wondering.

This is just too amazing and I can't even express it.
