My Love Dreamt of Spring

My Love Dreamt of Spring

A Poem by Jason
"

a simple poem of the hope and love of the coming of spring

"

Rivers formed from the frost of winter,
Melting into valleys and gorges;
Washing away the pain of the freeze,
And my disease returns adornment;

Voices that call in my head fill with fear,
Denial seeps a sullen drip of sweat;
Push these violet pedals through the dirt,
And breath- free of the cold regret;

Daylight shone when souls sleep,
No need for lighted mornings;
I live hours longer and relish the eve;
‘neath the tree that forms an awning;

Sky flight sees singing songs,
Whistle the tune of a new hope,
A belief that winter may sleep forever,
Is alive as dreams and warmth; elope.

And breath- free of the cold regret;

Ahhh, to breath free of the hard reminders of those things which convict us. Although feeling regret shows a person has an inner conscious, the pain can be unbearable and haunting to say the least.

I love the comparison of the seasons as with the emotions of a human. Emotions change as the seasons, some are cold and some so hot. Your closure of this poem has a hopeful feeling to it. Nice write, Jason! Keep up the good work. : )

It is the feel of the expressionistic chasing after the surreal: the vitality of your imagery as it delves in revelative delight of human feelings alongside nature. So very lovely and charmingly seductive.

Good images with a solid rhythm, though some of the images escape me.
