My Love Dreamt of SpringA Poem by Jasona simple poem of the hope and love of the coming of spring
Rivers formed from the frost of winter,
Melting into valleys and gorges;
Washing away the pain of the freeze,
And my disease returns adornment;
Voices that call in my head fill with fear,
Denial seeps a sullen drip of sweat;
Push these violet pedals through the dirt,
And breath- free of the cold regret;
Daylight shone when souls sleep,
No need for lighted mornings;
I live hours longer and relish the eve;
‘neath the tree that forms an awning;
Sky flight sees singing songs,
Whistle the tune of a new hope,
A belief that winter may sleep forever,
Is alive as dreams and warmth; elope.
