Horses raced on the battlefield, The Guardians fought back The Reapers for as long as they could. 

In an underground command center, Captain Harvey Maill and others were busy around a table putting pins on a map marking spaces. "Captain! we need to get out of here!" Privet Greg said. "We are not leaving until we have won this fight," Captain Harvey said. "That's the thing, The Reapers are breaking through my lines they will be here any minute, The Commander Hitie is dead so there is no point in hanging around here," Privet Greg said. "Hmmm you are right, everyone pack everything up let's head out," Captain Harvey said. They got everything into their jeeps and trucks and they drove off. Captain Harvey noticed that there were only two soldiers left. "What happened to the rest of them?" Captain Harvey asked Privet Greg. "They all met the same fate as the commander, death from the spiked dragon," Greg replied. "I hope those new soldiers are coming in soon, once we have them we will break through their lines but with twice as soldiers," Captain Harvey said.

Caleb and the others were getting closer to the Werewolf base. "Now listen up everyone, from now on you will call me sir or squad leader Caleb," Caleb said. "YES SIR!" Ethan, Sandra, and Cooper all said at once. "Alright we are here," Caleb said. They drove up to an old temple. "Woah, is this an old Reaper Temple?" Ethan asked. "Yes it is and please keep your voice down," Caleb said. "Sorry sir," Ethan said. They got out of the truck and saw two Werewolf Team members walk out of the temple. "Caleb, nice to see you made it back," one of them said. Caleb smiled, it felt wired to see Caleb smile, when every he smiled it is when he is with his team, otherwise he always tried to keep a straight face. "I'm glad to be back, everyone I would like you to meet Molly and Bert, they are part of our team, and Molly and Bert I would like you to meet Sandra, Cooper, and Ethan," Caleb said. Everyone shook hands. "Where are Lillis and Zane?" Molly asked. "We were overrun at the training site and......they did not make it," Caleb said. "Hmmm I see, we will keep them in our memories, I don't think it is a good idea to tell Anna just yet," Bert said. "Who is Anna?" Ethan asked. "Anna was Zane's fiance they were planning on getting married next month, I will tell her later," Caleb said.

They walked in the temple. It was very large inside.They saw a guy and a girl that looked to be in their early twenties sitting at a table in the middle of a room. The man had on a dark gray leather like everyone else, he had blue eyes and blonde hair. The girl had long black straight hair with green eyes and the same jacket as everyone else. "Everyone, I would like you to meet Anna and Verrill, Anna and Verill this is Sandra, Cooper, and Ethan," Caleb said. And they all shook hands. "Please come sit with us," Verrill said. Sandra, Cooper, and Ethan sat down at the table. It was a wooden round table, with a carving of a wolf on it. "Why don't you all introduce yourselves and talk a little about yourself," Caleb said. Sandra went first, "My name is Sandra Pall I am nineteen years old, I am from Cuas in the terrain of Dessth, my whole family was killed by The Reapers, except for me and my father," Sandra said. "And where is your father now?" Caleb asked. "He is a farmer in Cuas," Sandra asked. "Next," Caleb said. "My name is Cooper Gallie I am twenty-two years old, I'm from Zetal in the terrain of Stumpum, my father killed himself and my mother when I and my sister were very young, and I had to take care of my sister for her whole life," Cooper said. "How old were you two when your parents died, and what caused your father to kill himself and your mother, if you don't mind me asking," Caleb said. "My father killed himself and my mother because he was mentally ill, he shot both himself and my mother, I was fifteen years old and my sister was six," Caleb said. "Next," Caleb said he had been taking notes of everything that they had said. "My name is Ethan Forthwood, I am seventeen years old until next month I will be eighteen, I am from Tiy in the terrain of Cyena, father disappeared one day and never returned, my mother was killed by Reapers and my brother and sister were taken by the same Reapers, I came to the guardians to become a soldier and I would like to thank you all for taking us in," Ethan said. "Glad that we have all of that worked out, now Bert will take you all to your rooms," Caleb said. "Where is Zane?" Anna asked. Caleb sighed, "Come with me" Caleb and Anna walked into a room. "

Bert lead Ethan, Sandra, and Cooper to a hallway. He opened the first door. "This is your room," Bert said to Sandra. "Thank you," Sandra said she walked in and closed the door. Bert took Ethan and Cooper to a room, "I'm afraid you two will have to share a room," Bert said. "That's fine we will manage," Ethan said. Ethan and Cooper walked in. "If you need anything just call," Bert said he closed the door.

Later Ethan and Cooper were laying on their cots, they could hear Anna crying very loudly a few rooms down. Caleb had told her what had happened and they were comforting her. "I wonder what kind of test Caleb taking about in the jeep," Cooper said. "I don't know, but I hope it is worth it," Ethan said. He turned on his left side. "I hope all of this is worth it," Ethan thought.
