The same thought

Over and over

Banging around inside my skull

Fighting for importance

As I strive for indifference

 

Look at it

No, I really don't need to know

Look at it, look at it

Side-eyeing the material

I could just look once

Maybe...

Maybe just a quick look

I guess you are talking about the compulsion
to look at yourself. Who cares ? Take a good
look , see if you can find a flaw. Who cares ?
Every time you find a flaw, add someone who loves
