Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not

A Poem by FireFly
"

This is the product of a half-sane mind at 3 in the morning.

"

Through a forest of nothing

Describing my last memories

Forgetting who I used to be

There is only now

Here I leave you a note

Maybe you’ll forgive my pained words?

Words are all I have left

My tormentors

My saviors

I am still nothing

But they sustain my ghost

Into semi-reality

Is it loyalty or obligation that keeps you?

Desperation or love that brings you to your knees?

Let’s twist it up

Pretend like nothing has changed

Feign ignorance and innocence

Perhaps one day it’ll be clear water

You’ll see all the way to the bottom of the world

And realize you made the wrong choice

I can deeply relate to this, well done!

Then wake up that early again, this was very nice. It runs us through an entire moment without the time to breathe. It catches us looking, when we feel we are invisible. I really like this, there is something so real about it.
