How I love theeA Poem by Jane Doe
Hark my fair sir,
Come hither by my side. You rush over majestic land, Coming for me stride by stride. Hark my fair maiden, My love whom awaits me. Will the lord ever let us be? Will the lame walk? Will blind ever see? Though nothing compares to how much I love thee. No fiery sword, Or a billion meteors, Could set our love a fire anymore than it is. Will the earth end tomorrow? If so I hope I am in your arms, Because they are my personal shield, safe from all harms. If the Lord dont want us together, I am sorry but I would disobey him, For you my all, my life, my light, my gem. Alas wedding bells ring, Alas joy has found the fair, Maiden and sir quiet the pair. Will the lame walk? Will blind ever see? Though nothing compares to how much I love thee, Forever we shall be.
