Angel

Angel

A Poem by Jane Doe

Angel

T'was nightfall dark as black,
Though all was dim my love was not,
An angel appeared in brightness it did not lack,
Another angel to be his lover is what he sought.

The sky roared,
Lightening flashed,
Hearts were broken,
Torn and smashed.

 Instead he found myself,
In which he still cherished and began to love,
He stole my heart with his suit of stealth,
But our love grew and then flew elsewhere like a dove.

Souls united,
Hearts became one,
His halo glowed,
Brighter then the sun.

This is really good! There are a few grammar mistakes, but that's nothing to worry about. The only thing that I minded was the end - I think you should throw in a better ending line. "His halo glowed, Brighter than the sun" just seems like it's not finished. Maybe you could just switch the last stanza and make it like this:
"His halo glowed,
Brighter than the sun,
Souls united,
Hearts became one."
To me, "hearts became one" sounds like a better endline. But that's just a proposition :D It's a great poem overall :)
