A Chapter by Jane Doe

My name is Emma Lee; I am 13 I have been recently informed that my parents left me as soon as I was born. They left a note of their reasoning; they had believed that the age of 16 was far too young to have kids. They thought the town would look down upon them unfortunately they thought right. My mother, Mary, and my father, Gray, decided to give me away after being brutally beat by my mother’s father and my father’s mother. They walked to the nearest orphanage in Richmond, Virginia and left me on the path leading to the front doors. When I get a hold of something useable, I will put my note in here.

Love always, Emma

Insightful read, to your project, unfortunately, there are parents who are not supportive of their young teens getting pregnant...and there are many, as well, who are supportive, I know this is unfortunate part, that many see in society today.

Awe, this was really said. I liked it though. It was nice, but the poor child was left. Thanks for sharing.
