A Poem by Jane Doe

A lifetime i've waited,
A year one to many,
I thought love was clichè and so out dated,
I thought wrong.

You showed me,
How to love, and be loved even struggle through strife,
You showed me the way,
You showed me how to live life.

I love you for that,
I love you for much more,
I hope you know,
Its you I will always adore.

Just know it will last,
Forever in time,
So much long after,
I have claimed you mine.

Never forget me,
The emotions we share,
Laughing and crying,
Neither of us are ever one to prepare.

We know not what to make of our lives,
Only the love that we share the moments of trust,
Holding hands and kissing cheeks,
Even our laughable moments of lust.

Your amazing and kind,
How I wish you were always my guy,
But I must be out of my mind,
Thinking you as mine, hoping its not a lie.

But I know its not,
For you have told me so,
Many times in poems that have rhymes,
Regardles I love ya though.

Awe, lil Pinay Princess is growing up...I love the use of your emotions in your poem...you are very mature for your age, especially, in Poetry...I was a late bloomer, I didn't really play basketball until 16...same time, I started to take writing seriously, I guess, its true, the girls mature faster than the boys. ;)

I'm sure a title will come for this lovely poem...until then, untitled is cool.

Such a bittersweet poem, but you dont even realize it till you get to the end...very relatable! Nice write abbie :)
As for the title....maybe "Bittersweet"? I'm actually really bad with titles, but I figured I would give it a shot :D
