Teenage heartbeats

Teenage heartbeats

A Poem by Jane Doe

As our teenage hearts beat

As our teenage hearts,
Beat to their own drum,
Keeping no line no boundaries,
Nothing to withhold them from what they want.

No signs,
Of forbiddingness,
No one to tell us no,
Because they beat no matter what even if it's slow.

Keeping it's own pace,
Like a steady jog,
Meeting no ends,
And or expectations.

Beating rapidly,
In a moment of a kiss,
Or simply the opposite,
When in a meadow of bliss.

Keeping no rules,
Setting us free,
To live up to no expectations,
For as long as we live.
