Keeping in the grooveA Poem by Jane Doe
Keeping in the groove
As his hands, Take mine and lead me to the dance floor, All sorts of things seem out of control, My breathing my heart rate and even my thoughts. As he hums along, To my favorite song, All while in rhythm, Keeping us dancing smoothly. I start, To get clumsy, And step on your toes, I quickly apologize though no one knows. In reality, We all have our own groove, Mines probably about any song, So I can improvise. So I can sing along, Loud and proud, Use all my lung capacity just to shout to the clouds, All while keeping in the groove. Never a step out of boundaries, Not a fly out place, All because we can improvise, So everything is perfect in it's place. © 2011 Jane Doe |
