If love was simpleA Poem by Jane DoeIf love was simple
If life was easy, And love wasn't complicated, Then the birds and bees, Would have already suffocated.
Drying up with no compassion left, Keeping no sorrow and remorse with in, Letting all out freely, Everyone walking flying or slithering around with a sad face and low chin.
If love was simple, And life wasn't perplexing, Then all those girls who hurt them self for love, Would have already stopped waxing.
If everything was easy and simple, And we didn't have to work for anything, Everyone would be a showstopper and hardworker, But a fact of life everyone eventually finds out why the cage bird sings.
