Love murdersA Poem by Jane DoeHe whispers I love you, Right then a picture of my heart shows, And a knife goes through, Making me shake and shiver and just stare at my toes.
You lift up my head and repeat it, Instead of saying it back I imagine flying away as a white dove, Then out of no where I get hit, With the bat labeled 'out of love.'
But everytime you say it 'I love you' it takes a piece of me away, Making me depend on you, No more -please, okay? Making me count on you when quite frankly I DON'T want to!
You say you love me, But kiss her, You say you want me to be, Yours and yours only but I can't commit if you don't to all you had to say was 'sure'
But now you own me, Wrapped around your finger, Crushing me as you please, Never breaking the silence and making the sorrow linger. © 2011 Jane DoeAuthor's Note
