Embers of My Soul

Embers of My Soul

A Poem by Jane Doe

Embers of my soul,
I not let go.

You burn a desire,
within my heart.

The ache so present,
I swoon, I sigh.

Oh darling,
Will you ever be mine?

I listen to your heart
The beats of ocean air.

How they wander through the depths
like a cover of care.

I yearn for that smile,
One could see it over half a mile!

Yet I hear something tragic,
You left my home and with you went all the magic.

I was scared of my plea
like the waters of an open sea.

I felt a feverish love
A love I have never known.

I need you,
Darling I'm lost without you.

Come back wont you dear,
For my heart has taken such a beating I'm afraid my end is near.

Sweep within my embrace before my time
Let me long in a kiss to feel once again.

Your pale white corpse,
Your bright blue lips.

Don't worry I am here my love,
But your heart and soul have gone amiss.

For your heart stop breathing,
You're veins topped bleeding.

Now I am left alone to face this,
I am left alone with burning embers of my soul.
