This is a thought-provoking statement & it seems your intent is to be interactive, which has beckoned to your reviewers. I'm not wildly taken over by this statement becuz it's rather simply stated, more conversational than poetic. But I've noticed your writing is often straightforward rather than whimsical. Either way is fine. Just making observations. When I was young, I wanted to write for the reason you illuminate here, but now that I'm old, I don't care if anyone understands me (most don't & writing about it doesn't improve those odds much). I've only read 3 of your postings so far, but I will guess that you have an interesting & somewhat complex way of seeing life & expressing yourself on it & that might be more attractive to other writers who like to delve, rather than the typical reader who wants to be entertained (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you for the read and your thoughtful words! :)
Interesting. Are the words/feelings/ideas there and the writer just reaches in and illuminates them? (This is sort of like the muse argument). Or does the writer create them? What a nice a little poem.

You had me at "candle words".
The rest could have been an instructional manual, with a title like that.
I'm really glad it wasn't though.
It takes guts to be so critically introspective.

That's something deep that.. a writer often pens down. Quite insightful & raw. Looking forward to reading your work!

I really like when you use the term "Pathological Need". It brings the writer-ish you from you. So what, if you do, specific genre you often write across?

Usually I'll write deeply personal poems of various lengths, but also dabble in short fiction stories.
I say pathological because I can literally feel the words bubbling up in my stomach when I haven't written in awhile, even if I'm not conscious of what I need to say.
Like I said, usually pretty personal and rarely well-edited, but I've been surprised how my own words can placate me...it's my hope that in sharing them they might soothe/resonant with someone else.
What about you?

Thoughts are being "thought" to get poured down into words, and let one have his/her say... I like the idea behind "respecting own pain/emotions" - this be quite an unique way to get this released in words; unto papers, n have mind sane again..
.. well, I write across kaleidoscopic genre including romance, erotica, inspirational, however, it all depends on my mood. I write something that either makes people feel entertained or feeling something "worth-reading"... like as you already put this correctly above that "you write deeply personal poems but also dabble in short stories.."
.. so yups.. this is what us writer's life about - Right? :)
Liking the minimalism. Word choice is strong, opening perceptions and introspection in the reader. Writing is much the same as meditations. Yes, we stir the universe inside with transcendental meditations, yet it is singular and disconnected from humanity. Writing encompases the same stiring yet welcomes the entire population to participate in our journey.
Your darkness is a pale rider, bringing light to all.
Blessings to you.

Not about their length, but rather how deep your scars leave a trail behind. Difficult for me to comment on, as I tend to try to fix situations. I believe you would excel at Flash Fiction. Your 'content' is very emotive. Exactly what flash fiction Begs for.
