On the InsideA Poem by mm mm good
I locked my father out of the car in Arizona.
Let me in, he shouted, let me in! The sun almost burned a hole in his bald head. Any longer out there and we could have fried eggs. Let me in, he shouted, let me in! Christmas now and Im still in the car. Any longer out there and we could have fried eggs. But the lines were too long, he says, so we are just hungry. Christmas now and Im still in the car. Will he ever let me out of this car? But the lines were too long, he says, so we are just hungry. If he let me go in, I could wait it out. Will he ever let me out of this car? Ive never seen the insides of my mothers house. If he let me go in, I could wait it out. She screams an awful lot, but I can take it. Ive never seen the insides of my mothers house. But I guess I see her insides before Im born. She screams an awful lot, but I can take it. Life was better inside. I guess I see her insides before Im born. My father never gets to see in there. Life was better inside. So I locked my father out of the car in Arizona. © 2008 mm mm good |
