The Falsehoods of Train Love

The Falsehoods of Train Love

A Poem by shockandawe

Blue lights on the inside of my eyelids
I found love on a train to DC
We talked for hours
Locking eyes, I recognized
A new feeling registering in my brain
I hope this doesn't end up bringing me pain

It feels like a dream
As in next to you giggling in the quiet car
We make our escape to train purgatory
I'm looking at you, with all your glory

I know I'll never see you again after this moment of bliss
Please, just give me a kiss
Run away with me, would you?
I don't ever want to go back
Losing track of time on the train tracks

I remember meeting a girl on the train station and laughing all the way to her stop. Never saw her again after that. I can relate t this pretty well.
