An InvitationA Poem by shockandawe
I'll sit and watch the night go on without you
The moon smiles for she knows what the future holds Stay calm, don't be alarmed No one will be harmed As long as you hold on to yesterday The sorrow will not go Watch it as it grows Sounds of light, fear, and darkness Let me know whats in store I hope it's not a bore There's so much more than what you've heard before Won't you stay and watch the day grow dark with me That's all I really ask Just a little company We could watch the stars have an epiphany The moon is watching over us The mountains linger in the shadows Hovering and covering their need to be known Goodbye clouds and goodbye sun Tomorrow'll be another one
