A Poem by Everett Dulin

sing me a lullaby
so i can sleep once again
even a whisper is worthwhile
because cold silence will be my end

it doesnt need to be much
you dont need to be in my bed
just a soft lullaby
so sweet cries can go unshed

sing me a lullaby
im so very tired, im still
so very afraid of the dark, and i
dont want to get up this time

just a whisper, i dont want to be touched
i dont want to see your face
only sweet melodies, as my eyes shut
sing me a lullaby, and i wont wake up

I loved this one. Just sweet pure feelings. And somehow you even made that dark. Perfect.
