![]() dream journals(on rememberance)A Poem by Everett Dulinyour favorite order, from the chinese place on the corner. and wooden chopsticks, because plastic wasnt worth the call. i remember each beautiful moment, i remember it all. your favorite shows, that i memorized word for word. the jokes we had, all of your lines. written in my notebook, sitting on my bedside. the things that'd make you laugh, each time i made you cry. i remember it all. and i remember the look, the spark in your doe eyes. the day i realized i loved you, in my anthologies, they all reside. my walking for miles, and the single rose I would bring. days in a nail salon, the helper I would be, just to see you. the things i saw. i could speak for hours, on every little thing. the love for frogs, you've had since a child. the birds in your backyard, tossing them scraps each night. your favorite songs, and the reasons behind. the minute details and stories. the kings your brother liked. i remember. the mourning we decided to say our goodbyes. how warm your hands were, the love leaving your eyes. the final rose I brought you, those tears flooding my night. written in dream journals, and love letters, and poems, haunting my waking life. i remember. © 2025 Everett Dulin |
