studeo ingannare l'esistenza

studeo ingannare l'esistenza

A Poem by Everett Dulin

sometimes when the quiet,
the world, and everything around
shuts off/settles down, children's laughter
the only remaining sound

of choreographed home movies
and elementary school plays
recorded on tape ripped vhs days
looping infinitesimally in my brain

but each face, gets lost in
gritty, day to day, film grain
and I dont even remember
my part, or anything i had to say

there was something, the script was mine
yet i cant recall, a single line
just the laughter of children around
but i cant remember the sound

of my name,
the most important thing that
i forgot how to
say
