A Poem by Everett Dulin
"

The more I write and dedicate myself to writing, the more I realize I could only love another writer.

"
on an old park bench
is inscribed a poem, my wish
to be loved, to be seen
overlooking a creek

each day, that bench conveys
even more of my heart
so others could get a taste
but thats not why theyre in place

theres a writer and such
who walks my same trail
i write hoping when she turns frail
she'll sit to see creek side sonnets

and when she does
recognizing my cigarette ash signature
she'll write about unbegotten loves
and a bench, with words seemingly for her
