a royal court of humans, the funniest s**t i've ever seen

a royal court of humans, the funniest s**t i've ever seen

A Poem by Everett Dulin

the only peace
that i've actually found
is in my own sardonic rituals and
turning my oneness to a clown's

because in the face
of the humiliating, deprivating,
commodified charade of
life's brevity

it is a comfort to know
that you can take life's joke
and you can put on your red nose
and pretend to laugh along

or you can take my words
those of a jester's
and laugh with your king
like the well isn't poisoned
