It doesnt matter/I'd choose you any day

It doesnt matter/I'd choose you any day

A Poem by Everett Dulin

if you take a look
in the night, at the sea
and the waves reflect the stars
know that i guided you there

when you look up
and see that celestial message
leaving you somber, those stars
are mine to chart

when you think of me
and salt water bitter
blackens your mouth
i think about you too

then when that cold sea-breeze
cuts to your bones
remember, you hated gore
unless it was mine

This felt close to “you won’t find cigarettes in the snow”
First and second parts are GOLD! romantic lovely, close to sun
But the rest is more silver, I can taste that bitter salt in my mouth too. I felt every line.
You can do both sweet&bitter in the same poem.
Talent, my friend, talent.
