A Poem by Everett Dulin

time was funneling down like
it had many times before
but this time mattered
this time was torture

and there i was
watching you,
watching me
succumb to

gravity

my arm
reached out
never pleading,
denying your pity

grabbing your hand
was my one mechanism
and im deeply sorry that
i was dragging you to hell
