he made graduation

he made graduation

A Poem by Everett Dulin

i watched a star fall
i looked for the moon to cry
there werent any clouds to cover
the moon would no longer shine

i saw a man, i witnessed his life
i watched him blanket skylines
with his indescribable light
and i watched him fall

the collapse was a spectacle
as it tore in through orbit
debris thrown likes slurs
it seemed darkest, as he neared surface

i watched this star fall
first his mother,
then his brother,
his mind most of all

the star who shined
collides with earth his beloved
and we're here to watch
whats become of him

i watched a man fall
a beacon of the city/the night life
to know all dreams end
in night city, there are no living legends

damn this is my favorite you've ever written. i read it with a melody and i want to write rhythm to it with my guitar,.
this was perfect, the imagery, the metaphors, the flow of the story.
you are definitely one of the best poets i know (and we are still so young) and i am so proud of you, proud of your story and where you have come from and everything you have the courage to write. man we need to get your name out to the world.
