A Poem by Everett Dulin

everything i am
isnt anything
new to man
a tale told before

as the crew
drowns in the cabin
my body trapped
in the helm

my everything
mixing with the
saline solution
blood and all

one with the waves
my carcass remains
to tell the tale
of my love again

This felt like going back to the bad story you started with after all those wounds. You've suffered all the pain, maybe you've moved on, grown up, but you've been through everything... and you're going back there because maybe you've been through the worst and it can't get any worse, or maybe it's just that pain is familiar now.

I love the way you write, please be good to yourself.

love is often the captain on an aimless sea...waves of reality drown us.
