A Poem by Everett Dulin

do you remember,
dancing in the foyer?
paintings and pavilions,
love songs in the kitchen?

it tears me apart,
the shell i've become.
your markings still etched,
i dont know if i can love.

ive tried,
to sever arteries. so my heart,
can pour. it seems
"i accidentally"

locked the door.
