just keep dancing

just keep dancing

A Poem by Everett Dulin

as babylon fell
and the rivers of wisdom
dried, along with hope

the peoples knew their
demise, ever crumbling away
the bonfire grew

surrounding themselves
with their torches,
and their pains

their world lit
ablaze, the old
and the cataclysmic new

it was over,
and as the world burned
around them

they danced

Everett,
I live in a prime target area, and when the missiles are launched, given enough warning, there are some blues I know I'll play and dance till they arrive.
