A Poem by Everett Dulin

as i kneel
in front of
your
roadside grave

the snowfall
taps my shoulder
reminding
its time to go

two sticks
and some twine
make up your marker
im sorry

if we had
time
your headstone
wouldnt be so barren

I have seen such roadside shrines many times. Cars can be as deadly as guns.
