insomnia poem

A Poem by Everett Dulin

dont look up
whilst in a nightmare
if you saw heaven
why are you scared

it was obscene
visceral, bloody
something too real
to ever be called a dream

with eyeless heads
and bloody severed wings
the angels above
have seen too many things

to be loved
by an all good being
fills you with evil
you have to leave

some have so many evil thoughts filling their heads that they cannot look up. Weighed down by thoughts of bitter revenge, ugly accomplishments to be had...nightmares at noon, at dawn, at sunset.
some things we see, we can never forget.
