i hate doing a politial poem, but its all i feel i can write about right now.

A Poem by Everett Dulin

if america dies
i will hold her tight
and tell her "i love you"

we dont know why
but some hell's in our sights
we dont understand
we'll give to the man

they'll protect our home
our pride and our peace
something we dont know
something out of reach

if america dies
i will hold her tight
and tell her "we're doomed"

they cut off our tongues
with their greedy hypocrisy
they'll take our homes
not our mouths to feed

ask them for a lease
security check for a bomb
your name will be
left in a crater overseas

something without regret
your resentment's all we need
if you feel bad
you shouldnt have seen it on tv

cause now youre radicalized
an enemy in our eyes
a leftist narcissistic terrorist a*****e
never worth your time

im talking about love
the sleep youll never get
the bomb between your asscheeks
just dont expect me to give a s**t

im talking about w****s
your mothers regret
she shouldnt have worn
that scandalizing f*****g little dress

im talking about peace
the hush money to preach
the cancer in your water
and your yellow bones underneath

if america dies
i will hold her tight
and tell her "I love you"

ill talk about home
the rivers and the trees
the rockies and their sisters to the east

shes all about love
whats true and whats free
no disdain, no painful necessities

and if america dies
ill pull her in tight
and not say a word

I am holding her very tight right at this moment.
This reminds me of Ginsberg or Ferlinghetti...
Love it.
